Hi everybody!

This is my latest GDs, recorded with the help of Virtual DJ on July 9, 2009!
As you might have seen, this is not a session as usual! It was originally planned to be played on June 11, but i got tired and decided to take a month to rest myself DJ-cally!! :D So, GDs16 consists just of the Next Favorite? titled-tune! I didn't put the other titles since i really love all the songs played!
Also, it's actually a continuous mix which i broke into 2 parts because it'll be too heavy alone!

Hope you'll enjoy the tracklist, and the songs played! ^^ I let you know that this tracklist has been voted (Drumrolls...) #2/109 of the "Best Forum's Tracklist" So,tell me what you think about it!
By the way, I use this little free moment available to me to tell you that my Tunes From: New York compilation album will be released by next month! It's almost over! I keep you in touch!

Oh, by the way, the picture is just to pay tribute to a group of 2 awesominal dj's i really appreciate; Justice ^^ This depicts very well my music culture; a mixture of trance and rock, with beautiful vocals and i try the best i can to show it throughout my sets and my live mix!

V.C, from his true name Vincent, is an amateur mauritian DJ, remixer born in June 1991. He has been mixing privately since the end of 2007 and his set of mixes usually comprises of trance, progressive trance, progressive house, electronic trance, balearic trance and house. His musical influences are Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Richard Durand, Delirium, Daft Punk, Rank 1, Bob Sinclar, Justice and some local DJs, namely David Jay and Bernard Demarais. He also likes rock, punk rock, pop rock, classic rock artists like Blink 182, +44, Jack's Mannequin etc......


Apart from listening some tunes of Avril Lavigne, Kyo, Rasmus or +44, Vincent did not bear particular interest to the music side until he reached 14. On December 13, 2006, he "was invited to a private night at which a french DJ, Tom Snare, was playing. As from that night he began to be interested in music, mainly commercial house, electro and rock, pop and plastic rock."


At the age of 15( early year 2007), Vincent began to mix after having been amazed by Dj's like Tom Snare, Bob Sinclar , David Guetta, using the computer program atomix mp3. However due to personal reasons, he did not carry too much importance in dj-ing.

In December 2007, his interest started to grow up again after he went to the concert that Tiësto held on December 15, 2007 in Mauritius which he said to be "the best concert he ever went to." After the concert, he changed his computer program and started to mix on virtual dj, on the gears of his friends [ ref: cdj100, cdj800, numarks and cdj1000] and sometimes "on the gears of his neighbor and cousin[ref cdj100]."

Still mixing on virtual dj program, Vincent presents a monthly session every second Thursday named the get dress sessions

The first session was aired on February 14, on Valentine's day. These sessions are normally 1 hour mixes and the playlists and download sites of each session are published on his personal blog. Exceptionally, these sessions may be longer one as he played specials!
Among the songs played on these sessions, there is the "Coup De Coeur" which is V.C's favorite of the session, the "Classic" which is a trance tune which was made long ago but which is still demanded by the crowds, "The Last Month's Favorite" which is the tune from the previous session which was prefered by the GDs listeners


VC held some concerts in the year 2008. The very first was held during a Fancy Fair in his college. Since then, VC mixed in other regions throughout the island as the north, the west and the highlands. He is also planned for alot of concerts in 2009 and maybe a tour which may bring him abroad.

VC has made several collaborations with other dj's such as Soulrage as SPVC, as ANA&TOMY and Pi. VC gave informations that Pi was a project. Pi made the tunes and VC played them live.
As projects for 2008, VC did as expected, a GDs session every month and hopes to keep on airing his monthly sets as regularly as possible in 2009. He is also expected to do the second compilation album of his "Tunes From " series. In 2008, the first "Tunes From" 2-CD compilation, known as "Tunes From: Ibiza, My Balearic Start" was done and was however not aired officially due to relatively low popularity of VC. In 2009, "Tunes From : New-York, Urban Life" , the second of the series is going to be aired in June and, according to primary informations, this compilation album will consist of a 2-CD album and "will have almost the same format as last year's mix"

(PS 2) Well, firstly, i want to apology for this set (which i decided to name B-Side) since it contains some awful beatmatching errors! I'd have recorded this set in a new studio (thanks to a great friend for his help and lending me his studio) but i fell ill on the record day (thursday)! So, to make it with tradition, i recorded this set (B-Side) on my bed with virtual dj. Morever, since there's a B-Side, you may have deduced that there' should be the A-Side!
YOU'RE right...but it'll take some time since i recover and go to the new studio! So, i'll make you aware when the studio-recorded mix of this set will be out!
Until then, i praise your patience! ^^ and you may download this set now if you want! and also, if you feel to beatmatch-freak, then don't download it! I warn you!
Secondly, i wanted to tell you that the next GDs, which's going to be released on June 11 (OMFG, my birthday ^^...) and consequently, it'll be a special session which will retrace my musical life since it's very beginning!
Thirdly, i also wanted to officially announce you all of the upcoming release of second double-CD compilation album by me which'll be named "Tunes From : New York, Urban Life" from my "Tunes From: " series in Mid July. The tracks featuring on these CD's are inspired from the town itself and i hope they'll make you travel to New York, after having gone to Ibiza last year ^^

HI friends!
Well, welcome to my 14th GDs...a little bit reworked with vdj due to some problem with the tools in my mini-studio! That's why it's been displayed a day after the normal date!
Just to say to some people that this mix isn't perfect, but later i'll make it perfect!(H) Unlike you both - to some special persons- i just dont want to disa-fucking-pear among the crowd of mushrooming dj's playing pre-recorded stuff! You're good " dj's "...but i don't want to become a dj! Well, those concerned'll surely understand what i mean!^^
So back to our stuff...or sheeps if you prefer!
As you might start to see (or hear :P) im starting to change the structure of my GDs's set, playing stuff on which i rework..the so-called edits...SOOO...
This session is divided into 2 parts : a pre-recorded part and a studio-recorded part (which's itself divided into 2 subparts) quite alot of parts ^^!
The session starts with 2 housey tunes...recorded in my studio! Then comes the pre-recorded session which i made last Friday in LIVE when i was playing at CSE! Quite electro-trancey stuff this part! After that, we get back to the studio where i end this session with some trancey tunes!
Hope you'll enjoy and as usual, leave your impressions about the set...and also your favorite
tune! If it's most voted, it'll be broadcasted again in my next month's show
